Warehouse Supervisor - Blackburn

Working 37.5 hours across Monday to Friday, 3pm until 11pm

Role:

Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, you will work closely with the Warehouse Team to ensure that all work is completed safely, with a high standard for quality and in the timeframe necessary. The role will also work alongside the Day Supervisors in the Warehouse. 

  • Identify and Develop process improvements.
  • Supervising staff to focus on and improve on Safety, Quality and Productivity, always ensuring a high standard.
  • Deliver training to staff members.
  • Ensure Team Leads, Office Administrators and Team Members have sufficient work available.
  • Investigate any quality feedback issues from customers and review any processes as a result. These will be turned around within 24hrs of receipt so that sales can respond within 48hrs of receiving the feedback.
  • Manual work – to include container work.
  • Responsible for inventory in the warehouse to ensure physical and virtual counts correspond with each other. Any anomalies to be investigated proactively and rectified.
  • Proactive quality checks on orders in process.
  • Ensure strong communication with parties across the business.
  • Any reports to be completed where necessary.
  • Email management to ensure all are being responded to in a reasonable time frame.
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Manager where needed.
  • Identify, own, and run continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure quality issues are swiftly dealt with and investigated as to the cause.
  • Ensure all orders are dispatched in the relevant time frame.
  • Coach and develop team members.
  • Ensure a strong morale among the staff, identify any issues, resolve where possible and escalate where necessary.
  • Ensure business conversations are not shared with team members who are not privy to that information.
  • Report any safety incident promptly following the correct procedure and carry out investigations. Identifying route cause and implementing corrective actions wherever possible.
  • Manual handling up to 20kg.
  • Use of scanners – to ensure checking movements have been completed correctly and own login is being used.
  • Ensure a clean environment adopting the clean as you go approach.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Be Literate and Numerate.
  • Be able to priorities’ the daily workloads.
  • Understand Customer service levels and deadlines.
  • Have attention to detail, checking for missing or damaged items.
  • Have a flexible attitude to run alongside the Company needs and requirements.
  • Have a general understanding of stock rotation and its importance.
