Quality Assurance Technician - Blackburn

Position Overview:

Working 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, flexibility to work across the following shift patterns 6am until 2pm / 2pm until 10pm / 10pm until 6am

Role:

Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager the QA Technician will be responsible for a broad range of duties to ensure our products meet all technical standards and comply with all regulations in order for our products to be fit for consumers.

  • Internal Auditing: GMP / Glass & Hard Plastic / Internal Audits Process etc…
  • Control of Non-Conforming Product
  • Food Safety Controls – CCP’S
  • Complaint Investigations
  • Corrective & Preventative Actions
  • Investigations into Food Safety Incidents.
  • Labelling & Pack Controls
  • PPE Controls
  • Segregation
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Product Traceability
  • Product Release / Positive Release
  • Inspection & Testing
  • Foreign Body Controls
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Cross Contamination / Allergen Controls
  • Rework Controls
  • Implementation of Process Controls
  • Complete raw material, packaging and factory specifications
  • Recipe Controls

Key attributes and skills:

  • Microsoft: Word; Excel.
  • Demonstrate experience of auditing
  • Traceability
  • Temperature Controls
  • Good communications skills
  • Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician
  • Experience of working to site policies and procedures
