From our site in Yatton, Somerset, we manufacture a range of veterinary and healthcare products for pets and small animals under the brands of Bob Martin and Vetzyme.
We are looking for a Goods In QC Technician to join our Quality team.
In this role you will have responsibility for ensuring that raw materials used to manufacture final products are inspected, together with accompanying paperwork, then released to the factory warehouse, once they are deemed to meet specification.

Pets Choice (Bob Martin) manufactures a range of non-prescription veterinary medicinal products at its purpose built site in Yatton, Somerset. Our products include a range of liquid spot-on treatments, shampoos and solid dosage tablets for both condition treatments and animal health. The site is regulated by the Veterinary Medicines Board and complies to cGMP. Having established some exciting NPD development the business has invested in a new aerosol line to further support its growth and add to the product portfolio. This is an exciting time to join the business as we have multiple projects being worked on and have invested heavily into the facility to support the delivery of these.
We are looking for Production Operators to join our team to work across several production areas including dispensing, mixing and tabletting, you will get the opportunity to build varied production experience in a GMP setting. Ideally having experience in a regulated manufacturing environment you will be able to contribute your knowledge to the team in order to support our continued growth.
As a production operator within our Production team, you will be involved in a wide range of manufacturing activities for solid oral dose veterinary pharmaceuticals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that the correct materials to the correct Quality specification and standard are delivered
- Taking samples of certain raw materials for delivery to the QC Laboratory for appropriate analytical testing to be performed
- Undertaking specific testing (training will be provided), such as identity tests, for certain raw materials and completing formal Test Reports to record the results to a GMP standard
- Scrutinising suppliers’ results, provided on a Certificate of Analysis, or similar, to ensure that they have reported required test results to confirm that their material(s) meet the in-house standard
- Applying QC ‘Passed’ stickers to stock that is deemed acceptable, enabling it to be moved into the Raw Material warehouse
- Detailing ‘Passed’ status in the company’s electronic stock management system
- Doc-to-stock timescales being met routinely
- Reporting of non-conformances to the QC Lab Manager in a timely manner
- Ability to perform and report any required testing accurately
Key attributes and skills:
Essential:
- We’re looking for someone with high attention to detail that has previously worked within a Quality control role.
- You must have experience of using IT and Microsoft Office packages, ideally with experience of document processing.
