International Trade Coordinator

Join our team and play a key role in keeping goods moving around the world! You’ll work with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners across 60+ countries, helping coordinate the shipment and delivery of our much-loved brands to much-loved pets.

Overview of the Role

As the International Trade Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end logistics of our imported and exported products across international markets. You will liaise with external partners to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organising transport and delivery of international consignments from several global locations including via our offshore 3PL warehouse.
  • Create commercial documents to facilitate export trade, including veterinary health certificates, preference documents and commercial invoices.
  • Oversee the compliance and accuracy of third-party commercial documents, import documents and customs clearances of import and export shipments.
  • Be a key point of contact for international customers, 3rd party suppliers and internal teams; building and maintaining relationships.
  • Track consignments, ensuring full oversight and maintain shared transport trackers.
  • Keep up to date of international legislation and potential risks to the supply chain.
  • Work cross functionally between procurement, manufacturing and warehousing teams; regularly meeting teams to issue order packaging priorities and keep track of order pipeline.
  • Proactively work to enhance the efficiency of the departments core responsibilities, developing processes and resources where possible
  • Liaise with agencies including DEFRA, APHA, HMRC and Chamber of Commerce, veterinary bodies and port authorities.
  • Process purchase orders through the ERP system, Dynamic 365 Business Central.
  • Generate import veterinary notifications using IPAFFS.
  • Monitor inventory and check stock levels of imported and manufactured products; reporting back to customers and internal teams.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably required by the business.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required

Essential

  • Experience within an international role, preferably freight forwarding, import, export or customs
  • Understanding of Inco terms & customs classifications
  • General import and export formalities
  • IT Literate, including Microsoft office and confident using 3rd party booking platforms
  • Customer focussed attitude
  • Eye for detail and accuracy
  • Lateral thinker, capable of managing multiple priorities calmly
  • Full Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Knowledge of TSS process
  • Experience generating CHEDs via IPAFFS
  • Experience importing and export foods
